New Balloon Phonics Game
We would like to introduce Balloon Phonics, our latest free literacy game. It provides an excellent introduction to decoding words for those children at the start of their journey in learning to read.
Balloon Phonics Menu Screen
Balloon Phonics focuses on Consonant-Vowel-Consonant (CVC) words and has three modes: Initial Sounds, Middle Sounds and End Sounds which provide progression for children who are developing the skills to sound out and segment words.
Balloon Phonics Game Screen
It is designed to match Phase 2 of the Letters and Sounds programme and is useful for reinforcing the individual sounds associated with each letter. Parents who are not feeling secure about phonemes may also find the game supportive.
