A Clever Classroom Tool
We've discovered a really versatile free classroom resource that we think teachers will love. It is called Classroomscreen and it has 19 customisable widgets that you can use to stimulate student engagement.
Here we have highlighted some of our favourites but it is well worth taking a look at the others on offer as these could be ideal for your purposes.
In the first image we show how you can combine the widgets to display them on your screen together. It shows a random name generator, a clock and a countdown timer. By creating a free account you can save your pupils' names.
We particularly like the Drawing tool widget. Use it in full screen or in a small window and choose different backgrounds. Among the various options we like the handwriting paper and music staff paper but would have preferred larger squares for the graph paper.
Three more of our favourites are the calendar, clock faces and QR code generator. Like the other widgets they can be displayed in various sizes. The calendar is particularly useful in primary schools when pupils are being taught how they are arranged and used. The clock faces are also very useful for teaching how to tell the time.
