The Parents Feed the Chicks

When all the eggs that are going to hatch, have hatched, both parents work tirelessly to feed the chicks with soft food. They feed the chicks every few minutes from early morning until dusk.

In this picture the tiny chicks are flopped down out of sight in the nest cup. If the chicks don't open their mouths the parents make a chirping sound to encourage them to open wide.
